Some of you who are reading this already know me personally, and have been present for this journey since before our official 502c3 status. Y’all are the real MVPs.
These people have invested time being the sounding board for all my crazy ideas, telling me not to give up, and teaching me all the things that have helped us build even this far. They have invested financially and sacrificed time with their families just to help mine. I call these people my Framily–friends that became family. And I could not have seen any part of this vision come to light without their prayers and support. I love y’all!
That being said, in August we filed our paperwork to become an OFFICIAL nonprofit. Our 501c3 was approved, and we also filed a solicitation registration with the FL Dept of Agriculture & Consumer services. We also filed for our Florida sales tax exemption and started making purchases to launch some projects into the community.
Because nothing worth having comes easy, I was rear-ended in a hit & run on August 21! Clearly that wasn’t a part of the plan to build this nonprofit, but I waited on God to tell me the next steps of what I could do with what I still had available. In the meantime, I tended to my injuries, and rested in His arms as He built my faith with one of my favorite verses, Romans 8:28
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
