Needless to say, September was mostly focused on healing from the car accident, but as any season of rest will do, it brought much growth.
September 5-11 is National Suicide Prevention week. Each year I spend time during that week to remember those who couldn’t hold on any longer & who felt they couldn’t reach out for help. I have lost dear friends to suicide, and I remembered those people as I spent time in prayer and preparing our first projects:
*Tuff Totes (Acts 20:35)
*BOGO Birthdays (Psalms 139:13-14)
*Connect & Create Events (Ephesians 2:10)
(I will elaborate in more posts soon)
Tuffmission Inc’s projects are designed to promote creative coping skills, community engagement, and provide opportunities for youth to meet friends with similar interests. We aim to impact the community in practical ways as we point people to the true Healer. A lot of people are afraid to come to church, but I believe we can be active in the community, meeting the hurting right where they are. That’s what Jesus did for me, and what I hope to encourage all of us to emulate.
