Family Support Totes

We know what it’s like to need a little extra support, but we also know how victorious it feels when we are able to support others!

Acts 20:35: “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”

This is a pay-it-forward type project available for any single-parent or foster-family to receive and then participate in, building villages of support systems for families.

Upon approval*, families are gifted a tote filled with things like household items, a list of verified community resources, and something to do as a family i.e., board games, a craft or sometimes gift cards to family fun!

Families can then book our photobooth, karaoke, or face-painting exploration at a price that fits their budget with the BOGO Birthday Project, and are also invited to join our Connect & Create events in the community, where we aim to provide opportunities for people to connect and build their “village”. Families are encouraged to reach out to Tuffmission if they need help in any way, and we try to connect them to the right resource and walk them through the process.

Families can then participate in paying it forward by refilling the Tuff Tote with any stored treasure they no longer need, and are encouraged to pay it forward, and share on our Facebook group with their tote number. Our hope is this allows us to see how far the totes were paid forward, while connecting to other like-minded individuals online too!

(*Approval for single parents is based on income, family size, and location, and availability of totes. Newly licensed foster families are automatically eligible for the tote. We are building this project now, raising funds, accepting donations, and building the team.)
